ANNUAL APPEAL LETTER
Choosing where you or your loved ones receive medical care is an important decision. If you choose Alton Memorial Hospital because you know you can receive excellent care close to home, you have made an informed decision. We are grateful for the trust you place in our skilled and compassionate teams.
Your trust in Alton Memorial Hospital also reflects our ongoing efforts for community connections. As we noted in our annual report this year, we reach out beyond our very busy hospital departments to our communities in a variety of ways. Certainly, our Duck Pluckers ambulances are often visible on our streets and highways in route to providing critical, remote emergency care. In addition, however, our Foundation funds trainers to support our young high school athletes on the field while AMH palliative and hospice care teams give much needed support to families bedside and otherwise in their most difficult of times. Our financial assistance often goes to those needing home medication, transportation or other bill paying support due to illness and disabilities as well as to children with ongoing physical handicaps. Meanwhile, Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation has been financially instrumental in broadening institutional nursing and family medical doctor residency training for our community as a whole and in reaching out with new convenient care facilities. All that said, so many of our medical professionals and staff also give their personal time, efforts and resources to worthwhile Riverbend charitable organizations.
All of this is made possible, and often so much better, due in part to your financial support to Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation. Throughout the years and year to year, your financial support has allowed us to improve and expand upon our services not only at Alton Memorial Hospital, but reaching out into the communities we serve and love. We are so much better together due to excellent medical care brought close to home.
With that realization, we respectfully ask that you continue your financial support for our mission and efforts. In turn, we promise to be good stewards of your funding generosity, not only by maintaining the most relevant health care services both at Alton Memorial, but also in endowing future health care needs of our community. Truly, your generosity helps us stay connected with, and improve the quality of life in our Riverbend area.
On behalf of the entire Board of Directors of Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation, we are very grateful for your financial support as we work hard together to make our community a healthier and better place for all.
Sincerely,
George S. Milnor
Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation Chair
